Efter universitetsstudier, (1981-1986), följdes dessa av av flera års konststudier bla Valands Konsthögskola, Hovedskous Målarskola mfl. Kombinationen av universitetsstudier i antropologi , filosofi, idéhistoria och konst, butoh (mörkrets dans) och långpraktiserande/studier av zen, utgör grunden för Krister Kennedys (KK) konstnärskap. KK arbetar främst med teckning, skulptur/objekt, fotografi, installationer och video/rörlig bild men också med ljudkonst och måleri. Utställningar i Sverige och internationellt, på museer, konsthallar och gallerier. Representerad vid konstmuseer, kommuner och statliga och privata samlingar. Medverkat i bla Ord & Bild (nr3 2020), Glänta nr 1-2 1995 mfl kulturskrifter. Konstlärare vid tex Domen konstskola, Göteborgs konstskola, Sörängens folkhögskola mfl.

Related to the human relation to nature, the house is symbol of the human culture and of something "safe", a home. are the house abended, and why? The growing tree is taking over... "From inside" is a videowork that portrays the relationship between nature and culture. The house can be seen as a symbol of man's existential center, the fixed and settled the residence, the home. The house as the meeting place for social meetings (rites, everyday life, councils, togetherness). The forest (trees) grow inside the houses, break away and disintegrate. The forest/trees as the untouched, alluring, cruel, beautiful and threatening. The forest and the trees as an absence of civilization, loneliness and as a fund in the Swedish "folk soul". The forest can also be perceived as a symbol of the feminine and the unconscious, filled with individuals trees, which are like creatures from two worlds, a mediator between heaven and earth. The meeting between the houses and the trees/forest, a symbol of man's inner and outer, the social and the cultural processes which are broken down by...nature.
