Laura Piasta is a Canadian Artists (Ukrainian/European Settler) based in Växjö Sweden. Her practice addresses the relationships we have with objects from a physical and embodied perspective - questioning our philosophical relationship to objects and things and how they construct our worldviews. Working across mediums in sculpture she is drawn to traditional materials and processes such as bronze casting, weaving and stone carving and use them to explore ideas embedded within contemporary culture, unpacking their ontological presence.
