”Using painting and sculpture and combinations of both I build scenes consisting of colorful, interactive objects. The creatures in these scenes start talking to me. Their words become dialogues, stories, fables, poems. They carry more darkness, maybe to balance and give weight to the colorful installations, and are presented so they cannot be easily seen. The audience has to look for them and make an active decision whether to take part of them or not.” Heike Thiede
