Konstforum i Skåne är ett fristående projekt inom Konstnärscentrum Syd, som möjliggörs med stöd av Region Skåne, Kulturrådet och i samarbete med Statens konstråd. Konstforum i Skåne är en del av Plattform KcSyd.

Nu utlyser Konstforum i Skåne, i samarbete med Leipzig International Art Program, Goethe-Institut Sweden och Region Skåne, möjligheten att söka residens i Leipzig för konstnärer baserade i Skåne. Residenset genomförs mellan den 4 november 2024 – 31 januari 2025, och du behöver skicka in din ansökan på engelska senast den 20 juni. Ansök senast 20 juni.

Open Call: Residency in Leipzig for Scania-based artists

Konstforum i Skåne and Region Skåne, in partnership with the Goethe-Institut and Leipzig International Art Program (LIA), are inviting proposals from Skåne-based professional artists who wish to take up a three-month residency program in Leipzig (DE). LIA is a non-profit residency programme at the Spinnerei Leipzig, a former cotton mill that has been transformed into a unique creative space hosting studios, galleries, a communal arts centre, a cinema, and various businesses. The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, active in Sweden since 1963. Konstforum I Skåne works to strengthen the regional art field by offering concrete tools to all those who in any way works with art.

The residency includes:

  • Free accommodation in a furnished 83m2 studio

  • Bursary towards travel and production costs 750 €

  • Participation in weekly etching workshops at the Maria & Vlado Ondrej Studio for Contemporary Etching

  • Participation in a curated group show during the Spinnerei Gallery Tour

  • Curatorial advice by LIA-founder Anna-Louise Rolland

Residency dates:
4 November 2024 – 31 January 2025

In order to participate in the residency you have to be present in Leipzig throughout the entire program.

Application must comprise the following:

  • An expression of interest (500 words max.) explaining the project you wish to develop and what interests you about working at the Spinnerei Leipzig.

  • A CV or biography stating number of years of professional art practice, exhibitions and educational background.

  • Up to 6 images or video/audio links of your work.

  • Applications must be sent in English as one single pdf file to marina.diaz@liap.eu, assistent@liap.eu, judith.mirschberger@goethe.de and redaktor@konstforumiskane.se with the subject line “Open Call Konstforum i Skåne”.

Application deadline: 20th June, 12 pm ECT

Successful applicants will be notified in July.
