Samaneh Mohseni

I am an artist, writer, researcher, and architect working between Stockholm and the no-man’s-land of the Iranian diaspora. Rooted in my lived experience before and after moving to Sweden, my practice explores in-betweenness through temporal narratives and empathic shifts in perspective. Working with text, images, sound installations, film, and fiction, I explore time, place, memory, language, and politicized human and non-human bodies. I seek to evoke feelings that raise questions within myself and others. My work has been presented at Malmö Konstmuseum; Prospekt Gallery, Copenhagen; OPI Lab, Stockholm; Copenhagen Architecture Festival; Landskrona Foto; Lund University; and TU Berlin.
