Misaki Hata

Misaki Hata is a Japanese-British artist based in Göteborg, Sweden. Working in ink and water-soluble oil, she creates layered, imagined landscapes in which figures and environments dissolve into one another and perspectives shift, reflecting experiences of place shaped by a life lived between Japan, England, and Sweden. She studied Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology at the University of Oxford and the University of Tokyo, and her work has been exhibited internationally in London and Tokyo.
