I believe that our consciousness of the world is a like a collage, constantly renewing itself with input from our surroundings. Therefore, I study this mechanism of the mind, as a central aspect of any activism, subversive movement or representation of the present or the past. I view painting as an activity rather than a product. Painting is performative, a performative act beginning in the research phase and culminating. I understand painting as a performative practice both concrete and metaphorical, a space for assertion (=statement), conjecture(=speculation), and digression(=deviation, detour).
